Being charged with any kind of crime can make you feel anxious about your future. This is particularly true if you’re accused of Internet crimes or child pornography. These crimes have very specific penalties and can impact you for the rest of your life. You could have to be listed on a sex offender registry for the rest of your life, even if you fulfill your punishment otherwise.

A case in Texas may affect one former soccer coach and substitute teacher much in the same ways, now that he has entered a guilty plea in a federal child pornography charge. The 40-year-old man has been sentenced to only 180 months in prison, but he will then have a supervised release for the remainder of his life.

The report claims that the charge took place when an undercover cop received images from the man. On top of this, the coach also faces allegations that he had a relationship with a student while he was employed in the Crocker School District. Those allegations were made following the undercover operation where police were working on identifying and tracking the coach in an investigation.

In court documents about the alleged relationship, the documents state that the coach had a relationship with the student during the student’s senior year of high school. When the incident was reported, the coach was arrested and removed from his position at the school. There have been no releases about what the student has had to say about the allegations, and police didn’t say who made the allegations against the coach.
